ALDI has announced that it is hitting the road again and looking forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to it's marquee at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co. Laois, which takes place from September 19th – 21st.

The competition will see a number of Ireland’s top amateur brown bread bakers go head-to-head in a live final for the chance to win €15,000.
Additionally, the winner will see their brown bread stocked in all 160 ALDI stores nationwide for the next year.
Music and entertainment will be provided by country music sensation Mike Denver with the singer and his band set to rock the marquee and get punters jiving with a series of performances over the three days.
Foodies are in for a treat with ALDI set to host a series of daily cooking demonstrations featuring some of ALDI’s amazing suppliers. ALDI is proud to support suppliers and producers from all over Ireland and looks forward to showcasing products from their award-winning range at this year’s festival.
Elsewhere, Roz Purcell will be on hand to announce the winners of this year’s Grow with ALDI competition. The lucky winners will receive contracts to have their products stocked in ALDI stores nationwide, underlining ALDI’s commitment to championing the best of Irish food and drink. Undertaken in partnership with Bord Bia and Invest NI, Grow with ALDI is a supplier development programme that sees ALDI offer mentorship and guidance to small independent food and drink suppliers to help them grow their business.
ALDI is also proud to host a Women in Farming panel discussion with farmers and social media sensations Karen Moynihan, Aoife Mullen, Lauren Ennis and Sophie Bell set to chat about life on the farm, becoming ‘agri-influencers’, and the changing face of agriculture in Ireland.
